Creation of Bat Quai (Pa-Kua)

5000 years ago, the heaven opened the door and gave us the 2 set of magic numbers.

Many of us have seen the second set of number and now we called it magic number. This set of magic number is popular because the sum of the any row or colummn is 15 . Many feng-shui practitioners has tried to coordinate the second set of number (Lac Thu) with second bat quai (pa-kua) . The mistake of that is the second set of magic number (Lac Thu) doesn't go with bat quai (pa-kua) . Reality is the founder or creator of bat quai (pa-kua) has used the first set of number (Ha Do)to create bat quai (pa-kua) .

To understand pa-kua, we first take the first step of creation of the five basic elements.
Number 1 => Positive Water
Number 2 => Negative Fire
Number 3 => Negative Wood
Number 4 => Positive Metal
Number 5 => Earth

The number 6 then goes with 1 to create Negative Water
The number 7 then goes with 2 to create Positive Fire
The number 8 then goes with 3 to create Positive Wood
The number 9 then goes with 4 to create Negative Metal

Putting these number 1 to 9 right next together then you will see the first set of number, which is call Ha Do. That is how the first basic 5 elements was created, and also the foundation of the location of the 5 elements in the asian horoscope chart. Now we take a step further to see how pa-kua was created. As you can see the even number 2,4,6,8 lie at the corners, while the odd number 1,3,5,7,9 lie inside .
Number Five Elements Eight Elements
1, 6 Water Water, Heaven
2, 7 Fire Earth, Fire
3, 8 Wood Thunder, Mountain
4, 9 Metal Wind, Lake
5, 10 Earth Ying, Yang

Put these 8 number together along with Ha Do then you will get the correct bat quai (pa-kua) .

Now you have come to the most important point of the pa-kua. Look carefully at the location of number 2(earth) and 4(wind), and look at the picture of the current pa-kua on many internet site and book. You will see the current drawing of bat quai (pa-kua) is incorrect . Earth and Wind are in the in-correct position . Wow .... By relocate the wind and earth, we restored the original bat quai (pa-kua) drawing, while remain the flow of the universe with
- earth facing heaven
- wind facing thunder
- fire facing water
- mountain facing lake

May be many years and many wars have passed, the drawing of pa-kua has been re-draw over and over again. Some how the picture is not the same as the orginial drawing. We can not go back to the past, but we can find out the original magic number (Ha Do) and see how the bat quai (pa-kua) was created.
